Report from MediaStorm workshop at the Frontline Club
Like me, if you were lucky enough to attend you will have a big smile on your face and will want to put into practice some of the great technique that Brian Storm founder of MediaStorm shared with the attendees.Amongst which were BBC employees, Channel 4 news, Reuters and various video producers from all over Europe and a pitiful number of stills photographers. If you are into story telling...photo-journalism and the here and the now, this was the workshop for you.
The stand out piece from the day, for me anyhow, was this wonderful piece.
A family is determined to give their disabled son a whole and vital life. In the midst of a great burden, one small child – with a seemingly endless supply of love – is the blessing that holds a family together. See the project at http://mediastorm.com/training/a-thousand-more
Brian not only shared technique but also the methodology and crucially the business model.
Turn in work like this and you have no need to be poor.
If you missed this workshop, which was a steal at £100 for a freelancer, £150 for a staffer, track down Brian and keep a close eye on MediaStorm.
If you are anything like me you will learn lots from him, and do very well with your photography in these challenging times.
